BUNURU is the hottest part of the summer, and thats how their music sounds like; from spiritual Latin American relaxed tracks to global bass bangers infused with Congolese soukous guitars and North African Tuareg vibes.
Special guests: Love Lokombé and Lova Lova

BUNURU started in 2019 this journey between waves, electric guitars and deep soundscapes. A project composed and performed by Fabián Morales, guitarist with a vast experience, founder and director of projects such as La Makina del Karibe and Los Bulldozer, both influenced by African souks and Champeta. He collaborated with German producer Daniel Haaksman (Germany), The Busy Twist and Duke Dumont.

BUNURU has a broad palette in which African music, electronic beats, Arab percussion, vocals and analog synthesizers are intermingled, with clear Influences form Lokassa Ya M’Bomgo, Tinariwen, Gus Gus and Alessandro Cortini, among others.

This first album homonymous to the project will be released this year under the Colombian label Polen Records, produced by Felipe Alvarez and with collaborations from among others. It is a transatlantic and multicultural album, recorded between Bogota, Chia, Medellin, Congo, Paris and Italy, is full of sounds that can place the listener in different parts of the globe and in multiple moods. Dense sonic atmospheres, subtle “drones” accompanied by counterpoint melodies on the guitars over a rhythmic base of electronic beats and live percussions that create a texture that comes to life as the 11 tracks of the album unveils.
