First Word Records from the UK is another one of those independent record labels that are hard to define. They’ve released Hip-Hop, Soul, Jazz and everything else in-between. It started in 2003 and in 2004 they released their first compilation ‘Two Syllables’. Sixteen years later they release ‘Two Syllables Volume Sixteen’ with a look at the year that was and a peek into what’s coming up.
